Shaji Sebastian are the two Judges from India presently judging the 6th Annual Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention US Nationals concluded on May 28, 2021. The Convention is powered by The Henry Ford Competition, with more than 400 finalists from across the United States showcasing their inventions.

The 5th edition of`` Be The Change Education Conclave``, a series of online Education Conclaves being organized by the DBYA Educational and Cultural Dimension, South Asia, had the privilege of having Dr. Abdulla Rasheed Ahmed, Minister of State for Education and the Head of the National Institute of Education, Maldives as the Keynote Speaker. He made his presentation on the topic, ``Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century``.

The COVID-19 and national lockdown have forced the closure of schools, colleges, and universities for 120+ days with a rare chance of reopening before September 2020. It throws unprecedented challenges to the educational leaders, managers, and administrators. To address this present situation CBCI (Catholic Bishops Conference of India - Office for Education and Culture) in collaboration with DBHEI (Don Bosco Higher Education India Network) is organizing a National Web Conference with the main theme ``Catholic Education in COVID era and beyond - Challenges and Possibilities`` along with Bosco Soft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Airmeet (web conference platform) as technology partners and DBICA (Don Bosco Institute of Communication Arts) as media partners. The five days and five themes education web conference has already neared 1000 registrations from across India.

The province of St Joseph, Hyderabad hosted a webinar for all its confreres on 09 July 2020. The speaker was Father Dasari Nireekshan sdb, from the Laudato Si` commission set up by the province. He began the webinar with an introduction presenting the reason why Pope Francis chose the title ``Laudato Si` for his encyclical on environment, taking inspiration from the Canticle of the Creatures of St Francis of Assisi.

In the wake of extended and potentially prolonged lock down due to corona virus pandemic, Radio Salesian and Salesian TV offer broadcast and podcast lessons prepared for the syllabus of University of North Bengal`s (NBU) Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes. Radio Salesian 90.8 FM - the Voice of the Hills - established in 2016 is the only college campus radio of North Bengal and entire Northeast India. The virtual launch of `Radio Edu Pods` - the mass education project for college students - an initiative of Radio Salesian 90.8 FM and Salesian TV was held, 01 May 2020 in the virtual presence of NBU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Subires Bhattacharyya, NBU Registrar Dr. Dilip Kumar Sarkar, NBU Secretary of Under Graduate Council Dr Nupur Das and Principal of Salesian College Sonada/Siliguri Dr. Father George Thadathil.

Shillong: A two day INS School Principal`s Meeting was held from 5th - 6th July 2019 at Don Bosco Provincial House, Shillong. It was organized by the Education Commission of the province in collaboration with the Provincial Team. 30 members were present for the meeting. The meeting began with a Bible reading by Brother Anand Lakra and prayer by Father Babu Stephen. Thereafter, Father John Zosiama, the Vice Provincial welcomed everyone and highlighted the purpose of the meeting.

Shillong: The Technical Education Commission of St. John Paul II, Shillong Province met at Provincial House, Mathias Institute, Mawlai Shillong on the 15th June 2019. It began with a hymn to the Holy Spirit and a short prayer led by Father James Thyrniang Sdb, the Economer, followed by an exhortation from Father Paul Olphindro Lyngkot Sdb, the Provincial. In his speech, the Provincial spoke about the importance of the commission in view of the future plans of the Technical Schools. The meeting continued with discussions on various topics which was presented by Brother Reggie, the Technical Commission Co-ordinator. Some of the major topics discussed were the Directory of the Technical Schools of INS, logo, Anthem, Mission and Vision statement, centralization of uniforms, notebooks, school bags, etc.

Father Santhanaraj from the Salesian Province of Tiruchy (INT) successfully defended his doctoral thesis on the topic: ``The Coping Patterns and Factors among Children in the post Tsunami disaster of 2004 from the Human Resource (HR) Perspective`` on 05,April,2018, at St. Joseph`s College, Thiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, working along with Dr.S.Lazar SJ the Research Advisor and Dr.P.Devanesan the Research Co-Advisor.

Sonada -- A college in Darjeeling hills has come up with student and faculty teams reaching out to rural youth with higher education opportunities. In a rare case of hands on radio production by any college in Bengal and entire 8 states of northeast India, 80 year old Salesian College Sonada (SCS) situated in Gorabari village on National Highway 55 at an altitude of 6,500 feet above sea level boasts of running a community radio station 12 hours each day.

Darjeeling -- Final year students of a hill`s college had a Fulbright scholar from U.S.A give `pathways` - a life orientation proramme through performing arts. Director of Folded Paper Dance and Theatre Limited and guest artist Dr Kanta Kochhar, Fulbright-Nehru Senior Scholar 2017-18, affilitaed with the Madhavan Nayar Foundation, Kochi, India facilitated the workshop session 5 to 8 March 2018 with the third year students.
