South Asia 05 Foster Joint Formation with Laity and Salesian Family
Mapping News Coverage with Strategic Goals
Joint formation of Salesians and lay members of the Salesian Family is essential for sharing spirituality and mission, reflecting Don Bosco’s vision of collaborative service to the young. This formation must go beyond theory to foster openness, collaboration, and holistic growth through shared experiences, prayer, and discernment. By investing in concrete joint formation projects and fostering mixed teams, provinces can build vibrant communities where laity and Salesians become co-responsible partners in evangelization and youth ministry.

First-year philosophy students of Salesian College, Dimapur, completed a two-week Skill Development Programme at AIDA, gaining practical skills for youth empowerment and social development. The programme trained students to become effective agents of positive change among youth and marginalised communities.
