The Rosary English Medium School turned into a center of hope and guidance as the Job Placement Team of the Panjim Province of the Salesian Society of Don Bosco conducted a career exploration session for 180 students of grades 8 to 10.

The Panjim Province Job Placement Team organized a career guidance session at Navsarni Catholic Centre, Sawantwadi, reaching out to 230 students from 10 schools across Konkan and Maharashtra. The programme introduced students to the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN) and helped them explore career pathways aligned with their interests and strengths.

A three-month tailoring course under the banner TIGRESS has successfully equipped seven women with essential dressmaking skills while fostering a strong sense of solidarity and self-worth. The initiative, jointly organized by the Salesian Co-operators and Don Bosco Veedu, concluded with a certificate ceremony that celebrated both skill development and community empowerment.

The Salesian College of Higher Secondary Education, Dimapur, turned into a vibrant hub of opportunity and ambition during the one-day Job Fair 2025, organized collaboratively by the Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco Job Placement Network, District Employment Exchange, and the NCSC for Differently Abled.

In the wake of International Labour Day 2025, the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DBJPN) launched a nationwide campaign focused on celebrating the dignity of work and expanding access to meaningful employment for young people across India. Through a series of coordinated job fairs and career guidance programs conducted throughout April and May, DBJPN reached more than 1,700 youth and facilitated over 1,200 job offers—transforming lives and opening doors in regions where job opportunities are often limited.

The Youth Fest and Mega Job Mela, held in the Diocese of Srikakulam, was more than just a job fair — it became a platform of hope, identity, and awakening for over 500 rural and tribal youth. Jointly organized by DISHA career guidance and job placement service of Hyderabad Province, Don Bosco Job Placement Network and the Diocese of Srikakulam, the event was a critical response to the deepening challenges of youth unemployment and social stagnation in one of Andhra Pradesh's most underserved districts.

Don Bosco Vazhikaatti Trichy, a pioneering institute in career guidance, training, and placements in the Province of Trichy, conducted a unique orientation program at Don Bosco Care Home, Nilavarapatti. The program focused specifically on supporting students in Child Care Institutions (CCIs) under the Aftercare Program.

The ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) - Career Guidance and Placement Services, Dimapur, supported by Don Bosco Job Placement Network- BOSCONET, inaugurated its new study centre for students preparing for government jobs and higher education entrance exams. This initiative aims to provide valuable resources and guidance to young aspirants preparing for these examinations.

Many young people, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, lack access to quiet spaces, updated study materials, reliable internet, professional guidance and financial support to focus on their goals and enroll in expensive coaching centres. Hence, as a support to young people preparing for government jobs and entrance tests for higher education, Don Bosco Yuvakendra, Najafgarh, Delhi, and Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services (DBYES), Bariatu, Ranchi, in collaboration with Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DBJPN) have established dedicated study centres. More than 500 aspirants will benefit from these centers.

In a significant push toward gender equality and economic empowerment, Don Bosco Vazhikaatti organized a Job Fair dedicated to women's workforce inclusion in Chennai, Tamilnadu. The event provided over 2,500 women job seekers—including fresh graduates and professionals re-entering the workforce—access to employment opportunities, with more than 50 recruiters across diverse industries providing jobs for more than 1500 women. This initiative has contributed to a more inclusive and sustainable future by fostering equal opportunities and career readiness.

The generosity of Don Bosco Egmore 1997 batch alumni and Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd., with a STEM lab at Jaigopal Garodia Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Choolaimedu, has enhanced the learning process. The first classes about STEM lab teaching took place on February 21.

The Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DB JPN), a forum for Career Guidance and Job Placement Services in the South Asia region, marked a historic moment by commemorating Don Bosco's commitment to young workers' rights through the Leadership Summit 2025 at Chennai Tamil Nadu. The event, themed 'Decent Work, Dignified Life,' celebrated 174 years since Don Bosco's First Apprenticeship Contract and 175 years since the founding of the Mutual Aid Society.

The Association of Salesian Cooperators of Tiruchy Province (INT) has launched an initiative at Amalan Academy, Thanjavur, to prepare underprivileged youth for government examinations and career opportunities. This marks a significant milestone, as it is one of the first such initiatives managed autonomously by Salesian Cooperators in the southern provinces of India.

The Kerala State Government, in collaboration with the Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission, the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC), and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), hosted the Employers' Conclave at the Government Guest House, Thycaud. The event, aimed at fostering employment opportunities for Kerala's youth, saw the participation of 50 leading companies, with Don Bosco Job Placement Network being the only community-based organization present.
