Marking a meaningful move towards career empowerment, Don Bosco College, Golaghat, in collaboration with AIDA – Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN), Dimapur, hosted an Employability Skilling Session on August 5. The initiative aimed at bridging the critical gap between education and employment, especially for students from semi-urban and rural backgrounds.

A vibrant confluence of culture, catechesis, and youth empowerment marked the recently concluded ten-day “Leadership Training Camp and Youth Catechesis through Folk Art” held from May 21 to May 31, 2025, at Sacred Heart College (SHC), Tirupattur. Jointly organized by the Salesian Province of Chennai (INM), the Youth Ministry Delegation, Deepagam (Don Bosco Catechetical Centre), and SHC, the camp brought together 65 youth and children from seven rural parishes in Vellore and Tirupattur regions, including participants from Chennai and FSAG sisters of Shalom Province, Tindivanam.
Don Bosco Vazhikaatti Trichy, a pioneering institute in career guidance, training, and placements in the Province of Trichy, conducted a unique orientation program at Don Bosco Care Home, Nilavarapatti. The ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) - Career Guidance and Placement Services, Dimapur, supported by Don Bosco Job Placement Network- BOSCONET, inaugurated its new study centre for students preparing for government jobs and higher education entrance exams. This initiative aims to provide valuable resources and guidance to young aspirants preparing for these examinations.
Many young people, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, lack access to quiet spaces, updated study materials, reliable internet, professional guidance and financial support to focus on their goals and enroll in expensive coaching centres. Hence, as a support to young people preparing for government jobs and entrance tests for higher education, Don Bosco Yuvakendra, Najafgarh, Delhi, and Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services (DBYES), Bariatu, Ranchi, in collaboration with Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DBJPN) have established dedicated study centres. More than 500 aspirants will benefit from these centers.
Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur, has secured a B++ Grade in its first accreditation cycle by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.86. The B++ grade underscores BCTE’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous development.
On the occasion of 8th Foundation Day, Shri Bala Subramanian, District Magistrate of Kalimpong, West Bengal, honoured Don Bosco Tech Society for its impactful operations in the district. At a prestigious event held at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai, on February 17, the World Human Resource Development (HRD) Congress honoured DB Tech with the Skill Development Leadership Award. Father George Mathew, Executive Director, received the award in recognition of successfully training 469,864 youth across 66 vocational domains in 29 states of India, with an impressive placement rate of 72%.
Don Bosco College commenced its College Week 2025 with a spirited inaugural ceremony on February 3, featuring a blend of academic celebration, cultural performances, and motivational discourses. The event, graced by Shri Atul Bora, Honourable Cabinet Minister of Assam, witnessed a remarkable display of student discipline and institutional pride. Minister Bora received the Guard of Honour, hoisted the college flag, and delivered an inspiring address.
