Don Bosco Technical School Students Win Medals at Indiaskills Northeast Regional Competition

Students of Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong, who qualified through the IndiaSkills State-Level Competition, Meghalaya, represented the state at the IndiaSkills Regional Competition 2025–26 (Northeast Zone) held from 19 to 22 January 2026 at Gauhati University, Guwahati, along with other selected students from Meghalaya. Five students from DBTS participated in the regional-level competition.

The students delivered an impressive performance at the regional level, securing medals in key skill domains:

  • John Paul Maring – Automobile Technology – Silver Medal
  • Deicy Swer – Graphic Design Technology – Silver Medal
  • Kyrsanborlang Paliar – Graphic Design Technology – Bronze Medal


This achievement marks a significant milestone for Don Bosco Technical School and the State of Meghalaya, showcasing excellence in both core engineering skills (Automobile Technology) and creative digital skills (Graphic Design Technology) and others Skills at a regional platform.

By qualifying at the state level and excelling at the regional level alongside other Meghalaya competitors, the students have brought pride to the institution and the state. The medal winners are now eligible for selection to the IndiaSkills National Competition, with a potential pathway to represent India at WorldSkills 2026, Shanghai.

Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong congratulated all the medal winners and participants for their hard work, discipline, and professionalism. The institution also acknowledged the dedication of the trainers and faculty members whose guidance and mentorship made this achievement possible. The success at the IndiaSkills Regional Competition reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing skilled, confident, and future-ready youth.
