Salesian Foramation is a holistic process built on five interconnected dimensions. Together, these areas ensure a well-rounded formation that integrates personal growth, faith, and mission.
Sacred Heart Theological College celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its reopening (1976–2026) with a vibrant two-day programme on May 16 and 17, bringing together priests, religious, formees, youth, and lay collaborators in a spirit of thanksgiving and renewal.
Don Bosco Jumaikela witnessed a significant spiritual milestone on May 17, 2026, as three Salesian clerics made their Perpetual Profession of Vows during a solemn celebration attended by around 35 priests and more than 600 faithful.
The Salesians of Don Bosco marked a joyful and prayerful milestone at the Sunnyside Novitiate with the Vestition Ceremony, celebrated during a solemn Holy Mass. The ceremony saw 34 novices officially receive the religious habit, symbolising their deeper commitment to the Salesian way of life as they prepare for their First Profession on May 24. Among those vested were 25 novices from INS and 9 from ING. The occasion was attended by members of the Salesian community, formators, and invited guests, creating an atmosphere of faith, gratitude, and renewed dedication to religious vocation.
Around 20 Salesians and youngsters were part of the Train the Trainer program to animate leaders in organising the Summer Camps in the various institutions. The program coordinated by Father Ralin De Souza, Salesian Youth Movement delegate of the Salesian Panjim Province along with Father Austin Fernandes, Brother James Marcus and Father Savio Dias animated the group in the basic skills, to organise various kinds of Summer activities on March 29.
The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, hosted a grace-filled and intellectually stimulating Two-Day Workshop on Salesian Pedagogy titled “Educating with the Heart of Don Bosco: A Journey into Salesian Pedagogy” at the Provincial House, Panbazar. The Salesian Province of St. John Paul II, Shillong, continues to give thanks to God for the abundant gift of priestly vocations, joyfully witnessed through a series of grace-filled ordinations that highlight the Church’s mission of forming shepherds after the Heart of Christ. These sacred moments also reflect the Salesian charism of loving, joyful, and missionary service, especially among the young and the poor.
Divyadaan, Nashik, hosted a thought-provoking philosophical symposium titled “A Selfie with Reality”, offering a reflective engagement with questions of human existence, identity, and authenticity in the contemporary world. The symposium was conceptualised, prepared, and presented by second-year students under the guidance of Fr. Maria Anthuvan, SDB.
