The event marked a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to integrating cultural values into education, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents, and community members.

In a bold and compassionate move to safeguard the rights of children, Don Bosco Gujarat, in collaboration with Just Rights for Children, has launched a 100-day campaign to eradicate child marriage across three districts of Gujarat — Anand, Vadodara, and Chhotaudepur.

Following the heartfelt “A Legacy of Love,” the South Asia Region releases “A Legacy of Grace,” the newest episode in the Salesian Mission 150 Years series. Now streaming on YouTube, the sequel journeys deeper into the struggles and faith of Salesian Family Missionaries in Sudan and South Sudan, revealing how divine grace sustains them amid war, famine, and loss. Produced by BOSCOM, Missionary Animation, and Salesian Family South Asia under the SPCSA, the video is a powerful testimony of resilience, trust, and God’s loving presence in suffering.

The Leaders’ Meeting of the Salesian Province of St. Joseph, Hyderabad, was held from October 13 to 15, 2025, at the Provincial House, Hyderabad, bringing together key Salesian leaders for days of reflection, learning, and discussion on legal, pastoral, and administrative matters.

In recognition of his lifelong commitment to the welfare of vulnerable children, the Government of Tamil Nadu has appointed Fr. Dr. M. Casimir Raj, SDB, as a Member of the Tamil Nadu Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TNCPCR). The appointment marks a significant step in the State’s mission to advance child rights through inclusive governance and partnership with civil society.

Deepagam, the Catechetical Centre of the Salesian Province of Chennai, organized the “Salesian Parish Lay Formators’ Day” at Don Bosco Youth Animation Center, Ennore, on Sunday, September 14. The event brought together 181 lay coordinators from 18 parish sectors for a day of formation, reflection, and planning aimed at strengthening parish life and fostering active collaboration in the spirit of the Second Vatican Council.

A vibrant spirit of faith, leadership, and service filled St. Theresa Parish, Golaghat, as nearly 400 young people from 34 villages participated in a two-day Youth Faith Enrichment Programme, held from July 19 to 20. Anchored in the powerful theme "Daring to Dream, Building the Future: Called to Holiness and Service," the event inspired youth to deepen their faith and step into roles of responsibility within their communities.

Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Gedilam, in collaboration with Deepagam, organized a two-day pilgrimage for altar servers from May 13 to 14. A total of thirty-three altar servers from three parishes, Tagore Nagar (Puducherry), Maranodai, and Thennangudi, participated. Salesian priests and catechists guided them.

Don Bosco College commenced its College Week 2025 with a spirited inaugural ceremony on February 3, featuring a blend of academic celebration, cultural performances, and motivational discourses. The event, graced by Shri Atul Bora, Honourable Cabinet Minister of Assam, witnessed a remarkable display of student discipline and institutional pride. Minister Bora received the Guard of Honour, hoisted the college flag, and delivered an inspiring address.

Deepagam released a new music album, Yethirnokkin Yilaighaney, on the occasion of the Provincial Community Day celebrations of the Salesian Province of Chennai at St. Bede’s Community of Schools, Chennai.

The annual gathering of young people from various oratory centers, parishes, and church units in Nagaland and Assam took place on November 3 at Salesian College, Dimapur, on the theme ‘Eucharist the way to Heaven,’ based on the Cyber Apostle, Bl. Carlo Acutis. Organized to deepen faith, strengthen community ties, and celebrate cultural heritage, the event drew approximately 500 participants. Brothers from the Salesian College community engaged these young individuals for a day of spiritual renewal, personal growth, and joyous celebration.

Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS) Dimapur came alive from 24th to 26th October, as students from across Nagaland gathered for the All Don Bosco Schools Nagaland Meet 2024. The three-day event, centered around the theme of Students for Change, showcased a dynamic blend of athletic prowess, cultural heritage, and academic excellence.

Youth Involve (YI), an initiative of Bosco Institute Jorhat, celebrated its 10th anniversary alongside the bicentennial of Don Bosco's dream from September 17–19 at Siloam, Umiam. Twenty-six young social entrepreneurs, leading as many social projects and initiatives from Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, and Nagaland, and their Salesian and lay mentors and coaches came together for three days of sharing experiences and insights, and learning from successes, failures, distractions and challenges through presentations, exhibitions, conversations, reflections, and group activities. They were welcomed by Fr. George Palamattam SDB, the founder of Siloam.

The Salesian Social Forum (SSF), a group of like-minded Salesians, held a two-day National Convention at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad, on August 10-11. The event, titled "Contextualizing the Dream of Don Bosco: A South Asian Workshop by Salesians in India Today," brought together about 40 Salesians from various Indian provinces to explore ways to renew Don Bosco's vision for the poor.
