Benedict Furtado Basketball Tournament was held across two weekends — June 21–22 and June 27–29, 2025 — drawing close to 90 teams from across the state in five youth categories: Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, and Under-17.

In a bold move to harness the power of sports for youth development, Don Bosco institutions, in partnership with Jugend Eine Welt (JEW), BREADS Bangalore, and the Oommen Chandy Foundation, officially launched the ‘Sports for Change’ initiative in Kerala. The inaugural ceremony occurred at Don Bosco Schools, Puthuppally, Kottayam, and was presided over by the Honourable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan.
