Bosconet – Don Bosco Network has received national recognition at the India CSR Awards 2026 in the category “NGO – Education – Pan-India [Large Impact]” for its efforts to bridge learning gaps among children through remedial education.
Don Bosco Tech Society, with support from SBI Foundation, organised three job fairs in Raipur, Jagdalpur and Visakhapatnam from October 9 to 13, connecting 223 young job seekers with opportunities across multiple sectors. The drives resulted in 60 candidates selected in Raipur, 40 reported job offers in Jagdalpur, and 46 candidates shortlisted for further recruitment rounds in Visakhapatnam.
Fr. Eugene Florence, Director of Don Bosco Skills Mission, attended the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, from September 22 to 27, gaining insights into global trends in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), emerging technologies, and industry-oriented skills development.
The Second South Asia Regional Council of the Salesian Family in Provincial House–Nitika Complex, Kolkata (Sept 10–13, 2026) concluded with a renewed call to communion, collaboration, and shared responsibility, highlighting youth and lay participation as co-responsible partners in Don Bosco’s mission. The gathering brought together 45 delegates, including Regional and Provincial Delegates of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), and representatives of affiliated congregations and lay associations.
Don Bosco Tech Society and Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. (MHRIL) have launched Project Udaan, a placement-linked skill development initiative to equip 500 young women from remote and underserved communities with industry-ready skills and create pathways to careers in the hospitality sector.
Don Bosco Tech and the Bosch India Foundation launched the Bosch LEAP Programme in Tamil Nadu on September 2 and 3 at four Salesian technical institutions, introducing specialised training in two-wheeler and four-wheeler servicing for young people.
Don Bosco Tech was honoured with the Excellence in Skill Development Award by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) at the FKCCI Industry–Institution Leaders’ Confluence 2026 in Bengaluru, in recognition of its sustained contribution to empowering young people through industry-relevant skills, employability training and livelihood opportunities. State Minister Mr Ajay Dharam Singh presented the award. Fr. Eugene Florence SDB, Director of the Don Bosco Skill Mission (DBSM), received it on behalf of the organisation.
Don Bosco Vazhikaatti organised a Job Fair 2026 at St. Mary’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, St. Mary’s Co-Cathedral, George Town, Chennai, bringing together 250 job seekers and 28 leading companies. The event commemorated the 150th anniversary of the Salesian Cooperators and highlighted their enduring commitment to service, inclusion and social transformation.
The second cohort of the Data Centre Academy – Data Centre Operations Management Course launched at the Young India Skills University (YISU) – International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad, with 41 young people enrolled in an intensive programme to prepare them for careers in India’s rapidly expanding data centre industry.
About 1,200 girl students took part in an International Youth Day 2026 celebration organised by the JMJ Subodha Centre, Pastoral and Evangelisation Centre, at St Joseph’s College for Women, JMJ Nagar, Kurnool-2, on August 7. The Salesians of the Hyderabad Province animated the programme, which focused on empowering young women to understand their rights, address contemporary challenges and contribute to a more inclusive society.
Fifteen Social Experience Dimension Coordinators from different Salesian Provinces met at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad, on August 7–8 to strengthen Salesian youth ministry and enhance the accompaniment of young people.
A Job Fair at Maria Teresa Scrilli Public School, North Paravur, organised by BREADS – Career Guidance, Training and Job Placement Services, Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DBJPN) and the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM), provided employment opportunities to unemployed youth from across Kerala.
Don Bosco Career Guidance, Training and Job Placement Services, Delhi, in collaboration with the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Diocese of Bareilly, organised the Mega Job Fair 2026 at Bishop Conrad Senior Secondary School.
Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, inaugurated a wooden indoor basketball and volleyball court on Tuesday. The facility is expected to provide aspiring athletes with a venue for training and competition soon.
