Are you a leader?

Leadership in a Salesian community is more than coordination. It is the ministry of bringing people together, nurturing spiritual life and helping every confrere participate in the shared mission.

The Common Spiritual Direction Series offers a practical monthly resource for preparing community moments with clarity, consistency and a common direction across South Asia.

Background

Following the directives of General Chapter XXIX, the South Asia Salesian Region has identified six focus areas for renewal and growth. These include strengthening Christ-centered living, revitalizing community life, serving the poorest youth, renewing formation, fostering joint formation with the laity, and guiding young people in the digital environment.

To support Rectors and leaders in their vital role of animating communities, the SPCSA is launching a Monthly Animation Kit beginning June 2026. This initiative is coordinated by the Don Bosco Renewal Centre, Bangalore, with contributions from confreres across all Provinces.

One direction, lived in many communities

Salesian communities differ in size, setting and apostolate, yet they share the same vocation and mission. CSDS offers a common point of departure while leaving every community room to respond to its own people and circumstances.

The series supports leaders with a dependable structure for animation and helps turn a monthly gathering into a continuing journey of conversion, fraternity and service.
