Beyond classroom instruction, the Salesians integrate skills training with job placement networks and community development initiatives. Apart from established inhouse workshops, they collaborate with industries, NGOs, and government agencies to ensure that students not only receive training but also have access to employment opportunities. Many centers also emphasize soft skills—like communication, teamwork, and leadership—so that graduates are well-rounded and adaptable in the workplace. In South Asia, these initiatives have transformed thousands of lives, turning vulnerable youth into confident professionals who can support themselves and contribute to their communities. In this way, skills training becomes more than vocational education—it becomes a pathway to dignity, empowerment, and long-term social upliftment.
Don Bosco Tech Society, in partnership with CCSE and supported by Sungrow India Pvt. Ltd., has launched a Solar PV training initiative in Najafgarh to equip 30 youth with green skills and employment pathways. Formalised through an MoU on 2 April 2026, the five-month program integrates technical training, life skills, and placement support to promote sustainable livelihoods.
Around 20 Salesians and youngsters were part of the Train the Trainer program to animate leaders in organising the Summer Camps in the various institutions. The program coordinated by Father Ralin De Souza, Salesian Youth Movement delegate of the Salesian Panjim Province along with Father Austin Fernandes, Brother James Marcus and Father Savio Dias animated the group in the basic skills, to organise various kinds of Summer activities on March 29.

Don Bosco Tech Society has been conferred the Gold Award for Excellence in SkillTech and Career Solutions at the Economic Times TechEdu India Awards 2026, marking a significant milestone in its two-decade-long mission to empower youth through skill development. The Gold Award was presented to Fr. George Mathew, Executive Director of the Don Bosco Tech Society, who accepted the honour on behalf of the organisation. The recognition coincides with the Society’s 20-year journey in advancing skill-based education and employability among India’s youth.
