The second day of the National Migrant Workshop, held in Mumbai on August 17, organized by the Don Bosco for Migrants (DB4M) network partners, saw a collaborative effort with the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI), Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) and other organizations. Together, they drew a comprehensive roadmap for enhancing migrant services, including shelter and basic needs, source and destination services, emergency helplines, data collection, networking and advocacy, workers' collectives, and social integration.
The Bosco College of Teacher Education and Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, Nagaland, jointly organized a two-day International Seminar on “Equity and Inclusivity in School Education with Reference to NEP 2020” sponsored by the ICSSR New Delhi. The seminar held on 26th and 27th April, fostered discussions among educators, researchers, policymakers, and teacher trainees on crucial aspects of inclusivity and equity in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. There were over 40 research papers presented.
On 21 and 22 October 2022, 380 youth from across 29 Salesian institutions of the Province of Bombay participated in SYMBIOS 2022 at the Don Bosco campus in Matunga organised by the Youth Ministry Department of the Province. The theme of the event was ‘Do all through Love’. The topics that were touched upon were represented by the acronym ‘SWAG’ which stands for ‘Self, World, and God’.
Don Bosco Vazhikaatti, Trichy, and Don Bosco Job Placement Network India, in association with Madurai Legal Awareness Coordination Committee (MLACC), organized a job fair for the youth belonging to marginalized communities in Madurai on June 26, 2022. Eight recruiters and 110 job seekers participated, and more than 90 issued job placement letters.
