The halls of Microsoft’s Gachibowli campus in Hyderabad echoed with celebration and renewed hope, as 17 young graduates of the Data Centre Operations Management programme received their course certifications. In a significant achievement, 10 of them were also awarded internship offer letters from Microsoft, carrying an annual package of approximately ₹7 lakh, marking a major milestone in Don Bosco Tech Society’s mission to equip marginalised youth with industry-relevant skills and sustainable career opportunities.
Don Bosco Tech Society, in partnership with CCSE and supported by Sungrow India Pvt. Ltd., has launched a Solar PV training initiative in Najafgarh to equip 30 youth with green skills and employment pathways. Formalised through an MoU on 2 April 2026, the five-month program integrates technical training, life skills, and placement support to promote sustainable livelihoods.
Don Bosco Tech Society launched its TVET SOP Framework at SkillVention 2026, standardising training and institutional processes across its ITI network in India. Developed collaboratively over a year, the framework also advances readiness for NCVET recognition, reinforcing a focus on quality, consistency, and holistic youth development.
Don Bosco Tech Society has been conferred the Gold Award for Excellence in SkillTech and Career Solutions at the Economic Times TechEdu India Awards 2026, marking a significant milestone in its two-decade-long mission to empower youth through skill development. The Gold Award was presented to Fr. George Mathew, Executive Director of the Don Bosco Tech Society, who accepted the honour on behalf of the organisation. The recognition coincides with the Society’s 20-year journey in advancing skill-based education and employability among India’s youth.
The Don Bosco Skill Development Centre, Parvathipuram, inaugurated a short-term Tally software course on November 4 in collaboration with the National Institute for Rural Empowerment and Development (NIRED), Rajam. The initiative aims to foster youth employment and empowerment by equipping participants with job-oriented skills that promote sustainable livelihoods.

Designed to strengthen accountability and strategic alignment across teams, the initiative comes as the organization gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
In a move to strengthen technical education and align training with global industry standards, the principals and technical heads of Don Bosco Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) embarked on an industrial exposure visit to FESTO, a leading German multinational renowned for its innovation in automation and industrial training.
