First-year philosophy students of Salesian College, Dimapur, completed a two-week Skill Development Programme at AIDA, gaining practical skills for youth empowerment and social development. The programme trained students to become effective agents of positive change among youth and marginalised communities.
DON BOSCO SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, Doomdooma, Upper Assam, marked World Environment Day 2026 with a large-scale environmental awareness campaign. The event included a tree plantation drive that united 3,008 students, 94 teachers, and members of the Past Pupils Association of Doomdooma. Together, they promoted ecological responsibility.
Bosco Reach Out (BRO) implemented the Strategic Action for Flood Emergency (SAFE) Project in the Mayang Development Block of Morigaon District, Assam, from October 2025 with funding support from United Parcel Service (UPS) through BoscoNet, New Delhi. The initiative covered Niz Chaharia and Gagalmari Gaon Panchayats and reached 12 villages through various disaster preparedness activities.
Bosco Institute, Jorhat, became a vibrant hub of innovation and impact as it hosted En-fluence 2025, an entrepreneurial ecosystem-building summit that drew 227 registered participants from across North East India. Organized by The Hub Jorhat on November 22–23, the event showcased how youth-driven innovation can generate economic transformation, embodying Bosco Institute’s motto: “Inspire, Innovate, Involve.”
A book release on caring for the creation in the South Indian Telugu language, took place on Oct. 15, 2025, at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad (INH), in the presence of Fr. Biju Michael – General Councillor for South Asia and in the presence of Fr. Thomas Santiagu – Provincial and amidst the Rectors and Leaders of the Province.
Students of Grades 8 and 9 from Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul participated in a virtual interaction with Grade 8 students of Oriyana School, Ukraine. The event was part of the global Climate Action Project, aimed at encouraging young people to learn and act together for a healthier planet.
Students of Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, had a rare opportunity to engage with scientists from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) during an interactive seminar on biodiversity and climate change. The visiting team, under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, was led by Dr. Suresh Chandra, Dr. Santosh Kumar, and Dr. Kubendran.
Over 100 vibrant young minds from Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka came together for Connect 2.5, a unique annual retreat organized by the Salesian Youth Movement and Don Bosco Youth Services, held at the Don Bosco Agro-Ed Farm, Sulcorna, the event aimed to guide youth away from digital distractions and into the heart of nature and spiritual reflection.
In a meaningful step towards environmental protection and sustainable living, Don Bosco School CBSE, Gunadala, Vijayawada, hosted the Vanam Manam program on July 14, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, parents, teachers, and staff. The initiative aimed to foster environmental consciousness and promote a greener, pollution-free environment.
Over 100 students and faculty members from Salesian College Sonada and Sonada Higher Secondary School, along with monks from Sonada Monastery, police personnel, members of NGO and employees of the Forest Department, participated in planting over 1000 saplings in Tukrey Forest in Gorabari, Darjeeling.
