"Dream Your Dream" is a musical tribute to Don Bosco's transformative dream, which is celebrating its 200th anniversary, newly released by Salesian Cleric Martin Joshua Savio, a student of Visual Communication, belonging to the Salesian Province of Bangalore. The musical piece draws inspiration from a unique moment in Don Bosco's life —a profound dream he experienced at the age of nine. In this vision, the Blessed Virgin Mary instructed him to transform "wolves into lambs" through the power of love, a spiritual encounter that would shape his life's mission.
Youngsters across South Asia came together at the VOICES event, a platform that amplifies their voices on pressing social and personal issues. Throughout the event, the participants shared personal stories and insights, shedding light on the challenges of migration, unemployment, digital addiction and substance addiction affecting the youth.
As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Don Bosco School, Irinjalakuda, Kerala, a 5K RUN (5 kilometres running race) was organized on April 1, 2023, with the tagline, ‘Run against drug abuse, run to stop violence against women.’ Dr R. Bindu, Minister for Higher Education, Kerala, flagged off the 5K RUN at Don Bosco school premises, preceded by a warming-up session with a Zumba dance.
The opening session of the virtual meet of the Salesian Youth Movement Coordinators of South Asian Region on the International Youth Day [12 Aug 2020] was addressed by Father Jerry Thomas Don Bosco South Asia Green Alliance Coordinator. Speaking on ``Empowering the Young to lead Movements`` he invited SYM animators and leaders to ``Listen to the dreams of the young and enable them to live their dreams and passions.`` The challenge thrown to the 16 participants representing the provinces of South Asia was, ``What is the non-negotiable rule of your presence? Is it that every young person who visits any of the Salesian presence feels like returning again?``
