The Provincial Federation of the Don Bosco Past Pupils of the Province of Hyderabad gathered to celebrate the foundation day on Sunday, 23 June, commemorating the memory of the day, when past pupil Carlo Gastini met to thank and wish Don Bosco on his name feast. This moment was re-lived by garlanding the statue of Don Bosco in the presence of all the participants.

In a harmonious blend of music and a shared commitment to youth development, Don Bosco Alumni units of Dimapur and Kolkata orchestrated the inaugural Bosco Fest at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School ground on January 7. The event featured a star-studded live musical concert by Bollywood playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Euphoria Band, and local talents Lenen Jamir and Alobo Naga.

The Don Bosco Technical School (DBTS) marked a historic milestone in its journey as it celebrated its centenary of existence, showcasing a rich legacy of technical education, character building, and community service. The events, held on November 9-11, brought together past pupils, students, faculty, and well-wishers to commemorate a hundred years of excellence in technical education and holistic development.

Don Bosco School Liluah Alumni marking the 55th year of the School Alumni Association, held their first post-Corona reunion on 15th January 2023. Some 650 past students attended the mega event.

The 8th National Congress of the Don Bosco Past Pupils Association was organized by the members of the National Federation at Don Bosco Pastoral Center, Shillong from 13th October 2022. The three-day congress was led by Mr. Valerian Pakma, President of the Don Bosco Past Pupils, Shillong Provincial Federation, in the presence of the Delegate from the Salesian Family South Asia, the Provincial of Shillong Province, and the Delegate for Salesian Family, Shillong.

Trinity Saioo of Jaintia Hills Meghalaya was conferred India`s fourth-highest civilian honour, Padma Shri, by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, at a glittering function in New Delhi on November 9, 2021. The award comes her way for promoting the best variety of the Indian spice - the `Lakadong Chyrmit` turmeric.

Students in Kerala went back to school on 1st November after a long spell of Covid-19 lockdown. Students of Don Bosco School in Puthuppally, near Kottayam in Kerala, were in for a surprise and thrilled at what they saw in school.

The Kerala State Women`s Commission 2020 Media Award for the Best Feature on Women is won by Sreekala MS, an alumnus of the Department of Journalism, Don Bosco College Angadikadavu. Sreekala completed her Master of Communication and Journalism course in 2016. She is currently working as a subeditor in Mathruboomi Newspaper, Thrissur, Kerala.

Reigning world champion P V Sindhu on Sunday (1st August 2021) became the second Indian and the country`s first woman to win two Olympic medals, securing a bronze after a straight-game win over world No 9 He Bing Jiao of China in the badminton women`s singles third-place play-off held in Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Reverend Father Angel Fernandez Artime, the Rector Major, has appointed Father Angelo Sylvester Miranda (known as Roshan), the present Vice Provincial, as the 4th Provincial Superior of the Salesian Vice-Province of St. Joseph, Sri Lanka (LKC), for six years, 2021-2027. The joyful news, `We have a new Provincial`, came on June 11, 2021.

Darjeeling: Radio Salesian 90.8 FM - The Voice of the Hills, the first college Community Radio since 2016, based at Salesian College, Sonada in North Bengal, launched `Azaadi Freedom Songs` competition to mark the 75th year of India`s Independence. India won its freedom from British colonial rule on August 15, 1947.

Besides the unstinting service of India`s medical professionals and other frontline warriors in the fight against the deadly virus, the networks of friends, family and colleagues mobilized to share resources and combat misinformation have contributed to mitigating the situation. Social media and messaging apps also have facilitated this process, allowing relative strangers to lend a hand. Following this cue, the social media groups and networks established by the Alumni Association of Don Bosco School, Alaknanda, proved invaluable to its members and others.
