Building Excellence Through Metrics: Don Bosco Tech Charts Path Toward Performance-Driven Leadership
Marking a decisive shift toward data-driven growth and organizational excellence, Don Bosco Tech Society recently hosted a high-impact three-day Performance and Leadership Development workshop. Designed to strengthen accountability and strategic alignment across teams, the initiative comes as the organization gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
In a move to strengthen technical education and align training with global industry standards, the principals and technical heads of Don Bosco Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) embarked on an industrial exposure visit to FESTO, a leading German multinational renowned for its innovation in automation and industrial training.
A landmark collaboration between the Don Bosco Tech Society and the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) has resulted in an impressive 84.4% job placement rate, transforming the lives of 135 young people trained in hospitality. Within just three months, 114 graduates have secured positions in India’s growing hospitality industry, underscoring the power of strategic partnerships in skill development and youth empowerment.
The "Celebrating Our People, Marriott + Accenture" event was held on 21 May at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore. Distinguished guests from Accenture and Marriott, representing both India and the United States, attended the event. As part of the CSR segment, the Don Bosco Tech Society was the only organization invited to participate and present. Ms. Priya Kumari from Accenture delivered a presentation emphasizing the growing collaboration between Accenture + Marriott and the Don Bosco Tech Society.
On the occasion of 8th Foundation Day, Shri Bala Subramanian, District Magistrate of Kalimpong, West Bengal, honoured Don Bosco Tech Society for its impactful operations in the district. The recognition is for the outstanding contribution as an empanelled training partner under the Department of Technical Education, Training and Skill Development, Government of West Bengal. Bro. Roshan Ekka, the Principal of DB Tech Kalimpong, proudly received the recognition on behalf of the Don Bosco Tech Society.
At a prestigious event held at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai, on February 17, the World Human Resource Development (HRD) Congress honoured DB Tech with the Skill Development Leadership Award. Father George Mathew, Executive Director, received the award in recognition of successfully training 469,864 youth across 66 vocational domains in 29 states of India, with an impressive placement rate of 72%.
Don Bosco Tech inaugurated hospitality training in partnership with Marriott International and Accenture India on January 3 at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore. The training will be carried out across 11 states for 2500 women and disadvantaged youth, marking a significant milestone in bridging the skill gap in the industry. The Marriott International Area Vice President, South Asia Ranju Alex, and Ajay Vij, Senior Country Managing Director, Accenture India, graced the event.
Don Bosco Technical Commission continues to be a leading force in vocational education, producing over 30,000 skilled laborers annually—making it the largest private organization in India after the government in this field. This impressive feat is achieved through the combined efforts of Don Bosco’s formal ITIs and short-term courses offered by DB Tech. To strengthen and advance this mission, the leaders from technical centers across India gathered in Mumbai for a summit from Sept 27-30th for an intense study, reflection, and strategic planning. A total of 33 participants, including 27 ITI principals and several institutional heads, attended the event.
