The first batch of trainees in the Data Centre Operations Management Course formally graduated on April 11, 2021, at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore. Father Biju Michael, Regional Counsellor for South Asia, presided over the programme. The 23 graduates hailing from the Indian States of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala expressed great satisfaction at the training and the homely stay at Don Bosco Skill Mission.

Lockdown of varying degrees is one reality due to the pandemic. But going beyond that to a learning process using available resources of mobile telephony was something new for the pineapple farmers and processors of Assam. The partnership between FICCI and Don Bosco Tech Society made it possible for them. It was surely different, useful and engaging and hopefully futuristic.

Jean Paul Muller, the Economer General, was received with gladness and great joy. The Relic of Don Bosco was placed for veneration at two popular shrines in Kochi namely, St. Antony`s Church at Kaloor and the National Shrine Basilica at Vallarpadam. The large number of faithful who flocked to these centres had the opportunity to venerate the saint and to learn more of him.

The Don Bosco Community at Vaduthala organised the visit of Don Bosco with great love and planning. An estimated number nearing one hundred thousand seems to have visited the campus when Don Bosco was present. This suprising number was very well managed and all facilities provided with care.
