Train The Trainer Program Held at Don Bosco Fatorda
Around 20 Salesians and youngsters were part of the Train the Trainer program to animate leaders in organising the Summer Camps in the various institutions. The program coordinated by Father Ralin De Souza, Salesian Youth Movement delegate of the Salesian Panjim Province along with Father Austin Fernandes, Brother James Marcus and Father Savio Dias animated the group in the basic skills, to organise various kinds of Summer activities on March 29.
Setting out the purpose of this program, the members were invited to form a support group for one another by building a continuous database of games, skills, hobbies, action songs, competition support, mixers and starters, and other resources that would come in handy in setting a purposeful action plan. While a lot depended on the leader's creativity, there was a felt need to form a support group that would contribute content that had been tried and found effective, rather than gather online data, which is most often irrelevant.
On the practical side, many of the games were played by the members to get a hands-on experience. Exercises and modules were developed for different situations to conduct exciting and engaging summer activities.
The program concluded with an animated lively interactive moment on Sunset Beach, Betalbatim, where each of the groups conducted different sports games with team involvement and group building moments.
