To equip 40 students in their 10th standard with the tools needed to make well-informed career decisions, Don Bosco Konkan Development Society organised a two-hour career guidance session at Don Bosco Farm High School in Sulcorna on 16th April. The workshop connected students' aspirations with realistic educational pathways through interactive presentations, comprehensive career pamphlets, and targeted psychometric assessments.
Don Bosco Avsar Chinchwad, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Pimpri Town, successfully hosted Job Utsav 2026 on April 11 at Don Bosco Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Chinchwad. The recruitment drive connected skilled youth with top employers in the automobile and manufacturing sectors and offered employment prospects in the Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial hub.
On April 12, around 476 Migrant young men and women, far from their homes in Assam and the Garo hills, came together to celebrate Easter and the feast of Divine Mercy. Formalised through an MoU on 2 April 2026, the five-month program integrates technical training, life skills, and placement support to promote sustainable livelihoods.
Don Bosco Tech Society launched its TVET SOP Framework at SkillVention 2026, standardising training and institutional processes across its ITI network in India. Developed collaboratively over a year, the framework also advances readiness for NCVET recognition, reinforcing a focus on quality, consistency, and holistic youth development.
In a landmark event for the Salesian Province of Panjim Konkan at Mangalore, 19 candidates made their promises as Salesian Cooperators of Don Bosco during a solemn Eucharist at Devakrupa Convent, Attavar, on Tuesday, April 8, 2026. The ceremony marked the first time a group of Salesian Cooperators had been established in the diocese.
On March 24, Don Bosco’s Konkan Development Society (JPN) organised an intensive employability training session for 47 students at Carmel College, Nuvem, led by resource person Mr Menino Furtado. The session aimed to demystify the Indian banking sector and transform students from unaware job hunters into informed job seekers by providing a clear roadmap for exams like SBI, IBPS, and RBI. Students were guided through the rigorous multi-stage selection process, including the Preliminary, Main, and Language Proficiency Tests, alongside a detailed syllabus breakdown covering Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English. By exploring diverse career opportunities such as Probationary Officers and RBI Grade B Officers, the training replaced uncertainty with actionable strategies, building the students' confidence to navigate banking recruitment successfully.
The Youth Pasch 2026, a spiritual encounter with Jesus Christ, with immense hope, expectations and enthusiasm for young people, organised by Don Bosco Youth Services, Salesian Province of Panjim-Konkan (DBYS), at Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel- Goa, from April 1 to April 6, consisted of 50 participants, 08 volunteers and 6 animators.

Biju Michael, Regional Councillor for South Asia. “In our many languages, cultures, and traditions, we remain one in our passion for Don Bosco’s mission and in our commitment to the poorest young people.”
The Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla, hosted ColoHacks 2026, the flagship hackathon of Colosseum 2026, on March 28 and 29. The intercollegiate event brought together 250 students across 68 teams, competing in two parallel tracks: software and hardware.
Around 20 Salesians and youngsters were part of the Train the Trainer program to animate leaders in organising the Summer Camps in the various institutions. The program coordinated by Father Ralin De Souza, Salesian Youth Movement delegate of the Salesian Panjim Province along with Father Austin Fernandes, Brother James Marcus and Father Savio Dias animated the group in the basic skills, to organise various kinds of Summer activities on March 29.
George’s journey is a profound testament to the power of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity. Having already lost his mother, George came into the care of Don Bosco Sneha Bhavan during his 10th grade from another institution, as his father, a hardworking rickshaw driver, struggled to afford his education.
