Dream It, Plan It, Live It: 240 Students Discover Their Future at BIRDY

240 students of St. Jude High School, Vikarabad, gathered at BIRDY (Bosco Institute of Research and Development for Youth), Hyderabad, for a one-day youth development programme that helped them imagine, plan and take ownership of their future.

Titled “Design Your Dreams – Dream it… Plan it… Live it…”, the programme, designed by Fr Noel SDB, Rector, and Fr Alex SDB, Youth Director, blended motivation, self-reflection, leadership formation and digital awareness, helping students move from aspirations to action.

The programme opened with an inaugural ceremony in which Fr Vatti Rayappa Reddy SDB, the chief guest, urged the students to dream with confidence and work purposefully towards their goals.

A highlight of the day was the “Design Your Dreams” session conducted by Fr Justin SDB and his team. Through reflection and interactive activities, students were encouraged to identify their dreams, recognise their strengths and map practical steps towards achieving their aspirations.

The programme also addressed the rapidly changing technological landscape. Fr Sudhakar SDB led a session on digital technology and artificial intelligence, drawing the students’ attention to both the opportunities and responsibilities that accompany AI in education, careers and everyday life.

Leadership formation was another key component. In an interactive workshop, Fr Alex SDB helped participants explore values-based leadership, emphasising that genuine success is measured not merely by achievement but by purpose, integrity and responsibility.

Adding a Salesian dimension to the programme, Fr Rajeev SDB delivered a motivational session on Don Bosco as an educator. He highlighted Don Bosco’s enduring approach of accompanying, guiding and empowering young people, making his educational vision relevant to the aspirations and challenges of today’s youth.
