Placement Coordinators–HR Summit Strengthens Industry–Institution Collaboration at Don Bosco ITI, Ranchi

A Placement Coordinators–cum–HR Summit was successfully organized at Don Bosco Private ITI, Kokar, Ranchi, under the aegis of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN), bringing together key stakeholders committed to creating safe, secure, and decent job opportunities for young people. The summit featured 35 delegates from leading industries and educational institutions.

The programme began with Sir Marcus, Placement Coordinator, introducing the dignitaries and warmly acknowledging the presence of HR professionals, placement coordinators, and institutional leaders. The Welcome Address was delivered by Bro. Tom SDB, Principal and Director of the Ranchi Regional Centre, Don Bosco Private ITI, Kokar. He highlighted Don Bosco’s enduring mission of empowering youth through skill development, value-based education, and meaningful employment pathways.
 
Participants were then presented with a video on the Global Don Bosco Network, showcasing its worldwide impact in education, vocational training, and youth empowerment. This was followed by a detailed presentation on the Job Placement Network (JPN) by Fr. Jerom SDB, Vice Principal, who explained JPN's vision, organizational structure, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), underscoring its commitment to ethical, transparent, and high-quality placements.
 
The summit was further enriched by an inspiring address from the Guest of Honour, Mr. Arvind Kumar, HR Manager at Usha Martin Pvt. Ltd. Drawing on his industry experience, he shared insights on current employer expectations, essential employability skills, and the importance of robust partnerships between training institutions and industry.
 
A key highlight of the summit was the Open Forum Discussion, which focused on strengthening Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), effective implementation of JPN SOPs, enhancing industry–institution collaboration, and improving placement outcomes. The interactive dialogue encouraged practical solutions and mutual understanding between HR representatives and placement coordinators.
 
Representatives from reputed organizations such as Tata Motors, Royal Enfield, Honda Horizon, Bandhan Bank, and SIGMA Bengaluru participated, alongside educational institutions including Cambridge Institute of Technology, Xavier’s Institute of Polytechnic, Government Technical Colleges, DBTECH Society, and Don Bosco Private ITI.
 
The summit concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Saroj, trainer at DB Kokar, leaving participants with a renewed sense of shared purpose, collaboration, and commitment to youth employment.
