A large-scale job drive was successfully conducted at Don Bosco Industrial Training Institute, Kadapa, on January 28, in collaboration with the National Career Service (NCS) and the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation(APSDC). The initiative aimed at creating meaningful employment opportunities for skilled youth across the region.

The recruitment drive drew an enthusiastic response from job aspirants. Of the 525 candidates onboarded for the event, 473 actively participated in the recruitment process. Twenty-three reputable companies from diverse sectors participated, offering a wide range of employment opportunities aligned with candidates’ technical skills and training. After multiple rounds of screening and interviews, 141 candidates were selected on the spot, while an additional 162 candidates were shortlisted for further rounds of selection.

The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Paul Prakash Saginala, Bishop of Kadapa, along with George, Rector of Don Bosco ITI, Kadapa. The event also witnessed the participation of Don Bosco DHISHA, represented by its Regional Director, Fr. Jeevan SDB, and Mr. Vinod YP, representative of NCS, Kadapa, who extended institutional support and coordination.

Addressing the gathering, Bishop Paul Prakash Saginala appreciated the collaborative efforts behind the initiative and highlighted the importance of skill-based education in nation-building. He emphasized that initiatives such as the mega job drive effectively bridge the gap between education and industry, empowering youth to become responsible contributors to society. The Bishop also commended Don Bosco institutions for their sustained commitment to the holistic development of young people, particularly those from marginalized and vulnerable backgrounds.

The organizers credited the seamless coordination between Don Bosco DHISHA, NCS, and APSDC for the smooth conduct of the recruitment drive. Participating employers expressed satisfaction with the candidates' quality, discipline, and preparedness, reaffirming the relevance of vocational training in meeting industry needs.
