Don Bosco Job Placement Network Opens Employment Pathways for Underprivileged Youth
Don Bosco Career Guidance, Training and Placement Service continues to strengthen its mission of empowering underprivileged youth by offering career guidance, employability skill training, job placement, and post-placement support through the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN).
In Ranchi and its neighbouring regions, unemployment remains a pressing challenge, especially for technical course graduates who struggle to find stable and dignified work. To bridge this gap, JPN has been connecting skilled youth with meaningful employment opportunities while ensuring safe and dignified migration for those required to relocate.
Two major employment initiatives were organized at Government Technical College, Simdega, and Don Bosco Pvt. ITI, Kokar, Ranchi, on 4–5 August, coordinated by Bro. Tom SDB, Principal, Fr. Jerom, Vice Principal of Don Bosco Pvt. ITI, Kokar, along with Fr. Gabriel SDB and the Central JPN Team. Ninety-one candidates from the Mechanical and Electrician trades participated, with 79 selected by Hyderabad-based company Fenesta. Remarkably, 73 candidates have already joined the workforce.
Beyond recruitment, JPN provides structured migration and post-placement support. Its framework includes pre-departure orientation, safe employer linkages, assistance with travel and documentation, and follow-up to ensure the well-being of placed candidates. This safeguards young workers from exploitation, unsafe conditions, and job instability, turning migration into an empowering experience.
Through such initiatives, JPN continues to reaffirm its commitment to addressing youth unemployment, uplifting underprivileged communities, and guiding young people toward self-reliance and a brighter future.
