DISHA Don Bosco, Kawant, organized a one-day training programme for women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs), reaffirming its commitment to fostering social and economic empowerment among rural women. A total of 35 women representing six SHGs participated in the session, which aimed to strengthen their understanding of SHG functioning and enhance their capacity for collective growth.

In a spirit of profound joy and gratitude, the Salesians of Don Bosco, Shillong Province, came together to celebrate the Silver (25 years) and Golden (50 years) Jubilees of their religious and priestly vocations. The solemn yet festive occasion was marked by thanksgiving for God’s enduring fidelity and the lifelong dedication of His servants to the Salesian mission among the young and the poor.

It was an evening filled with pride and nostalgia at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore, as the Don Bosco Tech family came together to unveil the ‘DB Tech @20’ logo, celebrating two decades of empowering youth through skill development and social transformation.

Don Bosco Youth Centre, Shillong, reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment through vocational training by recognizing an outstanding trainee with a meaningful gesture of support. At a recent ceremony held at the Centre, Director Fr. Michael Makri  awarded a sewing machine to Ms. Sinora Khongshei, a graduate of the tailoring and embroidery program. The recognition celebrates her exemplary performance, resilience, and readiness to pursue a sustainable livelihood using the skills she has acquired. As one of the region’s foremost institutions in youth skill development, Don Bosco Youth Centre continues to champion practical training as a pathway to economic independence and personal growth.

The Rosary English Medium School turned into a center of hope and guidance as the Job Placement Team of the Panjim Province of the Salesian Society of Don Bosco conducted a career exploration session for 180 students of grades 8 to 10.

The Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN), under the auspices of the Don Bosco Konkan Development Society, empowered over 25 young job seekers from Goa and Karnataka through a two-day initiative that combined employability skills training with participation in the Prime Minister's National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) 2025 Job Fair. The event was held on September 26 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, organized by the Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Goa, in collaboration with Government ITIs of Margao, Vasco, and Canacona.
