Don Bosco Career Guidance Session Empowers 230 Students
The Panjim Province Job Placement Team organized a career guidance session at Navsarni Catholic Centre, Sawantwadi, reaching out to 230 students from 10 schools across Konkan and Maharashtra. The programme introduced students to the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN) and helped them explore career pathways aligned with their interests and strengths.
Led by Mr. Noah Rodrigues and his team, the session aimed to provide structured guidance to students from rural and coastal communities that are often overlooked by mainstream opportunities. The initiative reflects the charism of Saint John Bosco—uplifting those on society’s margins through education, skills, and holistic care.
The interactive session began with an introduction to Don Bosco JPN, highlighting its role in connecting young people to higher education and job opportunities. Students were guided through diverse career avenues, including technology, healthcare, engineering, education, and entrepreneurship. By offering clarity and encouragement, the programme sought to equip participants with both confidence and direction for their future.
Fr. Royston SDB, Executive Director of Don Bosco Konkan Development Society, and Mr. Rodrigues, Coordinator of Don Bosco Career Guidance and Placement Services, coordinated the event.
