New Study Centres Offer Opportunities for Young People
Many young people, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, lack access to quiet spaces, updated study materials, reliable internet, professional guidance and financial support to focus on their goals and enroll in expensive coaching centres. Hence, as a support to young people preparing for government jobs and entrance tests for higher education, Don Bosco Yuvakendra, Najafgarh, Delhi, and Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services (DBYES), Bariatu, Ranchi, in collaboration with Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DBJPN) have established dedicated study centres. More than 500 aspirants will benefit from these centers.
Study Centre at Don Bosco Yuvakendra, Najafgarh, Delhi
The Study Centre at Don Bosco Yuvakendra, Najafgarh, was inaugurated by Fr. Vijay Soy SDB, Vice Provincial of Delhi, and Fr. Edward Sacrawat SDB, Director of Bosco. The facility aims to provide a structured learning environment for students preparing for competitive exams.
During the inauguration, Fr. Vijay Soy SDB encouraged the youth to utilize the opportunity to excel in their exams and secure government jobs. Fr. Edward Sacrawat SDB emphasized the holistic development of students and the transformative impact of such initiatives on young lives. Fr. Kanyunt Rajesh Xalxo SDB, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco Yuva Kendra, highlighted the importance of these programs in shaping students' futures.
Fr. Nirmal Toppo SDB, Vice Rector and Parish Priest; Fr. Abhay Beck SDB, Administrator; and Fr. Gabriel Karunaraj SDB, Director of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, extended their support and motivated the young.
Study Centre at DBYES, Bariatu, Ranchi
At Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services (DBYES), Bariatu, Ranchi, Fr. Shilanand Kerketta, Youth Ministry Delegate of Delhi Province, blessed and inaugurated the newly established Don Bosco Study Centre in the presence of young students, local church representatives, and members of the Salesian community. The center can cater to nearly 200 youth.
The two centers will also assist in career guidance and job placements through the Don Bosco Job Placement Network in and around Delhi and Ranchi. These study centres provide essential resources like books, internet access, and mentorship and foster peer learning and motivation, helping students stay consistent in their preparation. With the support of the Don Bosco Network, these initiatives bridge educational gaps and empower young individuals with the tools and opportunities needed to achieve their career aspirations.
