Don Bosco Skill Mission Bengaluru Upskills Graduates for Placement

News written by: Eugene Florence
The iconic Don Bosco Skill Centre in Bengaluru, featuring state-of-the-art infrastructure, was established to deliver top-tier Training of Trainers (TOT) programs and advanced upskilling for young talents. This quarter, the vibrant campus welcomes 202 graduates from across India, specializing in Cloud Computing for IT professionals and DCOM for Electrical engineers.

Since its inception, the center has successfully trained 8,912 youth, boasting an impressive 75% placement rate. Best of all, this life-changing program is entirely free, a testament to DBSM's commitment to providing top-notch training, food, and lodging, ensuring a holistic and enriching experience for all participants.

Success Stories

One of DBSM’s standout success stories is Bhuvaneshwari from Tamil Nadu. Coming from an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) background, she completed her Cloud Practitioner course and secured the role of Cloud Practioner at AWS Bangalore with an annual package of 11 lakhs. This remarkable achievement highlights the high-quality, NSQF-aligned training provided by DBSM. Additionally, three other graduates have completed a six-month internship with Accenture and are now employed on their payroll as Associate Technicians. These stories of triumph over adversity and the power of quality training to transform lives underscore DBSM's effectiveness in matching talent with opportunity.

Collaboration and Sustainable Growth

The impact of DBSM extends well beyond its campus. The institute has forged solid and long-term collaborations, including partnerships with international groups such as the Japan team to train and support employment to Indian NEET (Not in Education, Employment, and Training) youth in Japan, especially in the IT/ITES sector. This long-term revenue model also aligns with the mission of the organization. DBSM has also deepened its ties with other Salesian Provinces by hosting programs across the Salesian network and optimizing its resources to benefit more needy people. These collaborations have created more significant opportunities for resource sharing and expertise exchange, enhancing the support for youth across Salesian institutions.

A Beacon of Hope and Empowerment

As graduates progress through these cutting-edge programs, DBSM remains a beacon of hope and opportunity. The institution’s commitment to empowering young people, mainly from EWS and NEET backgrounds, goes beyond fulfilling its mission. Success stories like Bhuvaneshwari’s and many others illustrate DBSM’s dedication to equipping the next generation of skilled professionals ready to excel in the 21st-century job market. By achieving NEET and TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) objectives, DBSM is shaping a more inclusive and promising future for all.
