The Salesian Family Superiors’ Meet was held at the Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, Guwahati, on 6 March, bringing together leaders of various Salesian Family groups from across India and South Asia for a day of prayer, reflection, and collaboration.
Fr. Raphael Bejarano, SDB, the General Councillor for Youth Ministry, during the Holy Eucharist on 3 March, at Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Guwahati, invited the Salesians to be agents of peace in the world. He was celebrating Mass at the ongoing Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA).
The General Councillor for Youth Ministry, Fr. Raphael Bejarano SDB, addressed nearly 300 young people at the Don Bosco Institute (DBI) in Kharghuli on 2 March. Fr. Raphael was in the Province to participate in the SPCSA Assembly and Council hosted at DBI, Kharghuli, Guwahati.
The General Councillor for Social Communication, Fr Fidel Maria Orendain, SDB, paid an official visit to the Guwahati (ING) Province on Saturday, 28 February, marking a significant occasion for the Salesian community in the region.

The Don Bosco School Excellence Mission (DBSEM) Principals’ Meet was held on January 23 at Mario Hall, Provincial House, Panbazar, Guwahati, bringing together Principals of Salesian institutions under the Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati. Centred on the theme “Children Against Child Abuse (CACA),” the meeting focused on strengthening the Salesian commitment to child protection, holistic formation, and value-based education in response to contemporary challenges faced by young people.
Fifty-one students from various centres of the Salesian Province of Guwahati (ING) were awarded the Rev. Fr. Sebastian Karotemprel Memorial Scholarships (FSKMS) for the year 2025 during a formal ceremony held at the Provincial House, Guwahati. The scholarships were presented by Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Guwahati.
Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli, a pioneering educational institution in Northeast India, marked its Silver Jubilee on November 22, celebrating 25 years of service, empowerment and hope for young people across the region. The Mission Poverty Eradication (MPE) Strategy Workshop II commenced at the Provincial House, Guwahati, bringing together Project Directors from various Salesian provinces across South Asia. The two-day workshop aims to evolve concrete strategies to intensify the congregation’s commitment to serving the poorest communities in the region.
The Salesian Province of Guwahati joyfully celebrated the Jubilee of Confreres and Province Community Day 2025 on Saturday, October 18, at the Provincial House, Panbazar, bringing together Salesians from across the province in thanksgiving for the gift of consecrated life. The celebration honoured confreres marking their Golden and Silver Jubilees of religious commitment, recognizing decades of dedicated service to the Church and society. The jubilarians have made remarkable contributions to education, pastoral ministry, and social development across North East India, devoting their lives to nurturing the young and fostering holistic education in the spirit of Don Bosco.
In a powerful gathering of faith and fraternity, the Province of Guwahati convened its Parish Priests’ Animation and Meeting at Mario Hall, Panbazar, under the theme “Shepherds of Hope: Renewing Pastoral Zeal in the Spirit of Don Bosco.” The event served as a clarion call for spiritual renewal and pastoral clarity, urging priests to become beacons of hope in a rapidly changing world.
