The induction of 17 new Salesian Cooperators was the highlight of the Provincial Congress of the Salesian Cooperators of the Salesian Province of Guwahati, adding a special dimension to the celebrations of the 150th Anniversary of the Association of Salesian Cooperators (ASC) held at Auxilium Convent, Kokrajhar, on July 25–26.
The first Basic Sea Scouts Masters Training Course for the North East Region began on Tuesday at Don Bosco School, Panbazar, marking a significant step towards expanding and strengthening the Sea Scout movement across the region.
A three-day workshop on "Participatory Models of Higher Education" began on Monday at Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli, jointly organised by the International Association of Salesian Institutions of Higher Education (IUS) and the Higher Education Commission of the Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati. Fr. Sanjay Aind, SDB, Assistant Parish Priest of Sacro Cuore, Rome, successfully defended his Licentiate Thesis at the Faculty of Institutional Social Communication of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome, on June 15. His thesis, entitled “Communicating Hope: A Case Study on Fr. Stan Swamy’s ‘Bagaicha Model’ of Strategic Communications,” examines how Fr. Stan Swamy, SJ, strategically used communication to advocate for tribal rights and empower marginalised communities through the 'Bagaicha Model.'
Bosco Reach Out, with Don Bosco Job Placement Network India, hosted a Job Fair at Don Bosco Institute in Guwahati on June 10, helping youth and job seekers meet potential employers. The event brought together recruiters, facilitators, and candidates from diverse backgrounds to expand access to jobs.

The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, concluded a two-day Salesian Missionary Symposium on May 30, marking the 150th anniversary of the First Salesian Missionary Expedition (1875–2025). Held under the theme “Remembering the Past, Renewing the Present, Reimagining the Future,” the symposium brought together Salesians and religious to reflect on the Church’s missionary legacy and explore new avenues for evangelisation in Northeast India.
The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, celebrated the Religious Profession of fifteen young novices on May 24, as they embraced the Salesian way of life through their First Profession during solemn ceremonies held simultaneously at Sunnyside, Shillong, and Emmaus Novitiate, Zubza.
