Salesian Cooperators Mark 150 Years with Job Fair in Bapatla

Dhisha Don Bosco Career Guidance and Job Placement Services, Vijayawada, in collaboration with the Salesian Cooperators, organised a Job Fair at Vivek Foundation Charitable Trust, Etheru, as part of the 150th Year Celebration of the Salesian Cooperators, connecting young job seekers with potential employers and employment opportunities. The recruitment process resulted in 29 candidates being selected or shortlisted for various positions.

A total of 72 candidates participated in the Job Fair, with 10 companies joining the recruitment drive and offering employment opportunities across various sectors. The event provided a platform for young people to interact directly with recruiters, understand available career opportunities and participate in the selection process.

The programme was graced by Rev. Fr. Charan, Parish Priest and Rector, Ponnur; Rev. Fr. Jeevan, SDB, Regional Director of Don Bosco Dhisha; Br. Jack, Divine Master, working for the empowerment of persons with disabilities; and Mr. Joshua Leander, Programme Coordinator.

Addressing the participants, the dignitaries encouraged the candidates to make effective use of the employment opportunities, continuously develop their skills and remain focused on building sustainable careers.

The Job Fair served as a meaningful initiative towards promoting youth employment, career development and sustainable livelihoods. The programme also reflected the Salesian commitment to empowering young people through concrete opportunities for employment and personal development, marking the 150th Year Celebration of the Salesian Cooperators with a significant contribution to the lives and aspirations of young people.
