Senior Salesians Gather in Bangalore for Renewal and Reflection
The Province of Bangalore hosted a two-day gathering of senior Salesians at Don Bosco Provincial House on September 24–25, bringing together 16 participants from as many communities for prayer, reflection, and fellowship.
The programme opened with a session on “Taking Care of Mental Health,” led by Fr. Kokkandathil Joe SDB, who highlighted the importance of emotional and psychological well-being. The discussion continued with a follow-up session on mental health, providing participants with practical guidance for both personal and community life.
An evening outing to IVY Resort provided an opportunity for relaxation and fraternal bonding, capped with a shared dinner before returning to the Provincial House.
The second day began with a prayerful atmosphere, followed by a session on “Ethics in Health Care,” conducted by Dr. Mario Vaz. His presentation explored the ethical dimensions of healthcare, offering deeper insights and practical perspectives.
After lunch, the Salesians engaged in open discussions, reflecting on their experiences and strengthening ties within the community.
The two-day gathering served as a source of inspiration and renewal, enabling the senior Salesians to draw strength for their ongoing mission while fostering fraternity across the province.
