The event opened with a vibrant Karbi dance, honouring local culture, followed by an invocation led by Rector Fr. Kamil Horo, SDB, setting an inclusive tone. Principal Fr. Dr. A. Amaladoss encouraged students to embrace broad-based learning, active campus involvement, and personal growth beyond academics.
Dr. Sanjay Kr. Hazarika, Senior Correspondent of The Assam Tribune, delivered the keynote address, urging students to cultivate knowledge, integrity, and career preparedness. Other distinguished guests, including Fr. Arockia Raj, SDB, Dr. Prem Kumar, and Dr. Arul Mathi of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, inspired students to uphold constitutional values and contribute to a just society.
The programme showcased student talent through music, dance, and the Mr. and Miss Fresher contest, coordinated by Assistant Professor Mirghakhi and Student Forum President Savio. Exciting volleyball matches between seniors and freshers added a spirited close to the day.
Attended by Salesians, faculty, dignitaries, and well-wishers, the celebration embodied the Salesian values of inclusiveness, learning, and youth empowerment—setting the stage for what the college called “A New Beginning and Endless Possibilities.”
