Don Bosco Kavarapettai hosted the Migrant Youth Mela 2024, a vibrant gathering to celebrate and empower over 2,100 migrant youth. Organized by Don Bosco Migrant Services under the leadership of Fr. Simolin, Director of Don Bosco Migrant Services, Chennai Province, the event brought together migrants on October 13, 2024. The Mela emphasized cultural unity, skill development, and access to essential support services for the migrant community, particularly its younger members.

Chennai, Jul. 30.A national level inter-school tournament in Shuttle, Ball Badminton, Table Tennis and Basketball was organized in Don Bosco Gandhi Nagar, Vellore, for three days from 13th to 15th of July in view of the Silver Jubliee Celebration of Fr. John Santhosam. The event brought together 748 young sportspersons from schools across the country.

The celebrated house of Don Bosco Orphanage, Gandhi nagar Vellore had its new Rector Fr. Arulanandam Peryanayagam installed by Fr. Raphael Jayapalan the Salesian provincial of Chennai province on 6th June. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Jayapalan and the mass was also graced by the presence of other dignitaries like vice Rector of the community Fr. John Santhosam, the principal of the Don Bosco Matriculation School Fr. K. J. Arulraj and by the presence of the principal of B. Ed. College Fr. Lourdesamy susai.
