New Shillong Province Development Office Building Inaugurated

The new Province Development Office (PDO) building of the Salesian Province of Shillong or commonly known as the Bosco Integrated Development Society (BIDS) was finally inaugurated on 12 August 2020 by Shri Charles Pyngrope, MLA Nongthymmai Constituency, and was blessed by Shillong Salesian Provincial Father Paul Olphindro Lyngkot.
The solemn inauguration took place amidst a small gathering of a few Salesians, staff of the PDO and YaR offices, and the boys of Rilang Home. In his message, Father Provincial stated, ``the new building is a dream turned into reality. It was Don Bosco who acted as the source of inspiration to dream for the welfare of the young.`` Shri Pyngrope said ``this new building is a noble gesture by the Don Bosco Salesian society.`` He promised that he will do whatever he can to be of assistance to the project.
