Fr Palamattathil at the outset led the group to take a serious look at the personal profile of leadership and placed before all the challenging ideal of `leadership without ego`. Much of the time on the first day was spent on a serious introspection on the exercise of leadership in the communities. The participants also spent time in sharing and deliberating on the important task of implementing the `Way Forward` of GC 27 in the province context. Several important decisions were made with regard to the ministry and services of the province. Some of the land mark decisions arrived at were: fixing up of minimum wages for the domestic staff in the communities of the province, introduction of `internal auditing` system of the communities, construction of a new pre-novitiate house, and the starting of two new degree colleges in the province. The meeting was also an occasion to re-examine the deliberations of the first provincial Chapter of the Province (2013). Prior to the meeting Fr Jose Chunkapura SDB, Vice Rector and professor at Sacred Heart Theological College, Shillong guided the participants in a prayerful spiritual Retreat.
