MoRD Batch 04 Inaugurated at DB Vaduthala

The Inaugural function of batch 4 trainees of MoRD project commenced at Don Bosco Tech, Vaduthala centre on August 04, 2011 at 10.30 a.m.
Rev. Fr. Antree Kannampuzha SDB (Centre in Charge, MoRD project, DB TECH), Adv. Leslie Stephen (Councilor, Cochin Corporation), Mrs. Beena Philippose (Asst. HR Manager, Popular Motor Corporation), Mr. Harold Skaria (Sr. HR Executive, Popular Motor Corporation), Mr. Soujith Antony (Kerala State Coordinator) and Mr. Sarath Menon (Kerala State MIS, M&E Coordinator) were present on the occasion. The guest represented a combination of dignitaries from the corporate and elected representatives of the society. The programme commenced with a prayer song sung by the trainees of MoRD Batch 4. The programme proceeded with the welcome speech by Ms. Mary Agnes C J- Trainer - ITeS who welcomed all guest with bouquet. Fr. Antree Kannampuzha SDB in his presidential emphasized that each one of them should always utilize the opportunities that are available and to identify and develop the hidden talents. Mr. Soujith Antony briefed the audience about the salient features, process, placements and other details of the project. Adv Leslie Stephen- counselor, Cochin Corporation, inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp and delivered the inaugural address. He highlighted the fact that government has introduced many projects to uplift the deprived sections of the society but it was difficult to find a dedicated implementing agency to implement the project successfully. He also expressed the importance of having a positive attitude in order to complete the tasks successfully. Mrs. Beena Pilippose- Asst. Manager - HR, Popular Motor Corporation, chief guest on the occasion delivered the key note address and explained the symbiotic relationship existing between Popular Motor Corporation and DBTECH since the inception of the project and they have always found the trainees placed by DBTECH efficient and successful. They assured us their continued support in placements of trainees. A short cultural programme was arranged by the trainees featuring the budding talents of various domains MoRD project. A total of about 150 participants comprising of trainees along with their guardians participated in the event making it a grand success.
