Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Vaduthala, Kochi, will represent Kerala in the semi-finals of the CISCE National Subroto Cup Football Tournament as it takes on the formidable Minerva Football Academy, Punjab, on July 18.

The Kochi-based school has enjoyed an impressive run in the tournament, registering convincing victories to secure a place among the final four. Kerala, represented by Don Bosco, defeated Maharashtra 4–0, edged past West Bengal 1–0, overcame Karnataka 3–1, and routed Andhra Pradesh 5–0 to qualify for the semi-finals.

The upcoming clash is expected to be a stern test for the Kerala side, with Minerva Football Academy widely recognised as one of India's premier football academies and a leading force in youth football development.

School authorities hailed the team's achievement, describing the semi-final berth as the result of the players' determination, discipline and consistent performances throughout the tournament. They said the young footballers have brought pride not only to the institution but also to the state of Kerala through their outstanding campaign.

The semi-final match will be played at 6.30 a.m. on July 18, with the winners advancing to the championship final.

The school has appealed to football enthusiasts and well-wishers to rally behind the team as it seeks to continue its remarkable journey and bring national honours to Kerala.
