Don Bosco Institution Comes Forward to Support Flood Victims in Sivasagar

In a gesture of solidarity with the flood-affected people of Assam, St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Harmutty, a Don Bosco institution, came forward to extend financial assistance of rupees two lakhs to flood victims in Sivasagar district. A delegation from the school travelled to Sivasagar to assess the situation of the flood-affected people and extend support to families struggling with the aftermath of the devastating floods. The relief fund was raised through the generous contributions of the teachers, students, parents and past pupils of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Harmutty.

The members of the delegation expressed their gratitude to the entire school community for its generosity and active participation in the relief initiative. They noted that although the contribution was modest compared with the extensive needs of the flood-affected communities, it represented the collective prayers, concern and solidarity of the school community.

The delegation also conveyed a message of hope to the affected people, expressing confidence that the people of Sivasagar would recover from the crisis and gradually return to normal life. The school community assured the victims of its continued prayers and willingness to extend support wherever possible.
