Youth Volunteers Power Joint Relief Drive for 450 Flood-Affected Families in Titabor

Don Bosco Tech Society, Delhi, led a relief operation that reached 450 families across seven Gaon Panchayats in the Titabor Revenue Circle, with 25 youth volunteers helping pack and distribute essential relief materials.

Conducted from August 1 to 6, the relief initiative brought together Don Bosco Tech Society, DB Tech Rangajan, Bosco Institute (BI), Jorhat, Dr Nobin Bordoloi College and Tezpur University in a coordinated response to families facing critical hardship.

The 25-member youth volunteer team supported the preparation, packing and field distribution of emergency relief kits, demonstrating young people's active role in community-based disaster response. Their involvement helped ensure the materials were organised and delivered efficiently to families across the affected areas.

The kits were prepared to meet immediate needs, with supplies covering food, health, hygiene and sanitation—the intervention aimed to provide practical assistance to families struggling with the consequences of the emergency.

The participating institutions worked closely with the local Block administration and Panchayati Raj representatives, who assisted in identifying and verifying beneficiaries. Their involvement helped ensure the relief reached households most in need and the distribution process remained transparent and targeted.
