A Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Compliance and Strategy workshop on March 1st in Nitika Don Bosco drew over 80 hopeful fund seekers from Kolkata and districts. The program organised by Bosconet India in collaboration with Don Bosco Development Office of Kolkata Salesians was patronised by both men and women members of the Conference of Religious India.

Bosconet - the Don Bosco Network harnesses resources for a sustainable future of India by Don Bosco India, spanning 28 states, 11 interstate Planning and development organisations and 350 plus NGOs.

The chief resource person at the workshop was Master Trainer for Corporate Affairs, Mr Nikhil Pant of LAKSHYA Foundation and Miss Lishaka Gulati of RECHA Foundation. As former Chief Programme Executive of National Foundation for CSR, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India, Mr Pant impressed upon the audience the need for elements corporates demand from partner NGOs in any CSR project funding like compliance, impact and branding. He also pointed out that “while many institutions prove themselves credible and accountable, they fail to provide impact assessment reports.”

Mr Pant further encouraged Bosconet to set up a CSR Centre for Excellence, which could provide ground-level support and coordinate CSR project proposals.
