The Salesian Province of Annai Velankanni, Tiruchy (INT), came into existence twenty-two years ago on August 5, 1999, with a clear mission to `centralize the peripheries.` Having laid the foundation in 1999, the Province has grown territorially and numerically. With 19 presences (8 canonical and 11 autonomous presences) in 1999, currently, the Province has 31 houses (27 canonical and four other presences). Numerically too, it has grown from 148 Salesians (54 priests, seven coadjutors and 87 young clerics) to 243 Salesians (151 priests, eight coadjutors and 84 young Salesians). Human I. A systematic analysis of the ministries focusing on the History, Development & Impact of the Mission. The findings are to be presented in a symposium/live-in and as a souvenir and video documentation. II. A Centre for Competitive Exams in Thanjavur and Sub-centres in other places. 2. Spiritual I. Provincial level animation on themes like Salesian Identity, Mission to the Young, and Spirituality of Witness. 3. Social I. Institutional ministry for Tribals in Yercaud (College/Institute) II. Non-Institutional Social ministry for Transgenders 4. Ecological I. Planting of 1,00,000 trees and maximizing solar energy in the Province. Keeranur and Sengipatti to be the province ecological mission centres. 5. Jubilee Memorial I. Youth Resource Centre cum Library in Trichy-Kallikudi building.
