Certification of the 2nd batch of students @ Taj Residency

27th July, 2010 was special day for the 24 trainees of the Hospitality Management Course conducted at Don Bosco Training Centre Lingarajapuram, Bangalore. They were overjoyed as they received the coveted `Taj - Accenture - Don Bosco Certificate` from the General Manager Mr. Vinod Valson of Taj group of Hotels at a solemn function held at Taj Residency, Bangalore.
Other dignitaries present were the Regional Human Resources Manager Mr. Murali, Executive Director BREADS, Fr. Joseph Elavanal, and Training Centre In-charge Fr. Nicholas.
In the presidential address the General Manager Mr. Vinod Valson of Taj group of Hotels, stressed the importance of discipline in life. He asked the trainees to build up self confidence and the ability to face difficult situations in life. He congratulated the management and the staff at Don Bosco Lingarajapuram for the selfless and dedicated service to the society and promised to give all possible assistance.
Mr. Murali, the Regional Human Resources Manager of IHC Ltd, illustrated with example of persons, who have gone on to become General Manager from an Apprentice. He asked the student to make best use all the opportunities that come on the way.
Fr. Joseph Elavanal the Director of the Development Office of Don Bosco (BREADS) congratulated the graduates and wished them all success as they step into the hotel industry. He also thanked Accenture and Taj for all the support rendered by them.
Some of the students shared their experience gained at the Don Bosco Tech training centre and at Taj Group of Hotels and expressed their gratitude to all those who have been instrumental in shaping their future.
The three months training program promoted by Don Bosco Tech and funded by the Accenture Company, had the Taj Group of Hotels as the knowledge partner. Currently the training is offered in Food and Beverage Service and House Keeping. Besides this, the students are given training in communicative English, basic Computer, Soft skills and Life Skills. After two months of training at Don Bosco Training Centre, the students were placed in the two Taj hotels for on the job training. The third batch is due for on the job training (OJT) and the fourth batch admissions are going on.
