Karunapuram Philosophate Annual Day Underscores Ecological Awareness
Vishwa Jyothi Don Bosco College, Karunapuram, celebrated its Annual College Day 2025–26 on 23rd January with a strong emphasis on environmental awareness, adopting the theme “Nature: God’s Gift, Our Responsibility.”
The programme was inaugurated with a prayer dance, followed by a welcome address by Fr. Dr. Donthi Reddy Raja, Rector of the College. Students presented a series of cultural performances including dances, songs, mime, and a musical play, all conveying messages on care for creation and ecological responsibility.
The chief guest, Rev. Fr. G. Chinnappa Reddy, Director of Medicare Hospital, Warangal, called upon young people to become responsible stewards of nature. “Nature is a sacred trust given to humanity, and protecting it is a moral responsibility,” he said, appreciating the students for meaningfully expressing the theme through art.
The Annual Report was presented by the Principal, Fr. Dr. Suman Goli, SDB outlining the academic and co-curricular achievements of the institution. Prizes were distributed to students for excellence in academics and sports.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Br. Bakthula Bhanu Hruday Prakash and the College Anthem. The celebrations reflected the college’s commitment to value-based education and environmental consciousness.
