Don Bosco Naigaon Girls Clinch Bronze at DSO Football Tournament
The Under-17 Girls Football Team of Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Naigaon, on September 8, struck bronze at the District Sports Office (DSO) Inter-School Football Tournament, finishing third among 32 competing schools.
Don Bosco opened their campaign in style with a 3–0 win over Rahul International School, booking a direct spot in the semifinals. A hard-fought clash with Yash Vidya Niketan ended in a penalty shootout heartbreak, with Don Bosco bowing out 2–1.
Bouncing back in the third-place playoff, the girls edged past Notre Dame School 1–0, sealing a spot on the podium.
Vice Principal Fr. Joaquim Fernandes praised the team’s grit, while Coach Emmanuel Olukunle Ilo hailed their determination and teamwork. The victory marks a proud moment for the school and a shining example of resilience and sportsmanship.
