Don Bosco LiFE Integrates Ecological Care into Family Day Celebrations
Don Bosco LiFE brought together faith, family, and environmental stewardship during its Family Day celebrations at the Shrine, marking a unique step in promoting ecological care through community-driven initiatives.
As part of its ongoing One Million Tree Plantation Campaign under the Lead Green Life (LGL) project, the organization distributed 1,000 plants and conducted an awareness campaign highlighting the importance of sustainable living. More than 400 medicinal plants, including Bacopa, Dumparastram, Mint, Addasaram, Ranapala, Insulin, Vanalaku, Nallamu, Coriander, and Multivitamin species, were given to families to encourage them to integrate ecological responsibility into their daily lives.
The event was not only a celebration of family but also an invitation to embrace nature within households. Don Bosco LiFE’s campaign has consistently united schools, tribal communities, self-help groups, and youth in responding to the pressing call for environmental action, weaving climate responsibility into the fabric of community life.
By embedding the initiative within Family Day, the programme highlighted the interconnection of faith, creation, and holistic development—values deeply rooted in Don Bosco’s vision of education.
