Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, hosted a grand and inspiring Scout and Guide Oath Ceremony for Grade 8 students, highlighting the theme “Build character through discipline – Be ready to serve the nation.” The event aimed to instill in young learners the values of discipline, responsibility, and service to society.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Fr. Rixson Nigrel underlined the lifelong relevance of the Scout and Guide movement. He reminded students that scouting was not limited to taking an oath but was meant to be lived as a way of life. “Scouting and Guiding strengthen discipline, self-reliance, and a deep sense of responsibility in individuals,” he said, urging cadets to dress smartly, uphold dignity, and remain ever ready to take on responsibility.

The programme also featured dynamic group activities such as slogan chanting and team games, which highlighted the students’ leadership skills, teamwork, and coordination.

The ceremony concluded with the Scouts and Guides reaffirming their commitment to the movement’s ideals, echoing the resounding motto: “Service is the true identity.”
