Don Bosco College Golaghat Celebrates International Women's Day
Don Bosco College Golaghat (DBCG) marked International Women's Day at the DBCG Assembly Hall with the theme "Give to Gain." Organised by the Research Cell, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, the NSS Unit, and the Women's Cell, the event brought together approximately 300 students and staff members, as well as 100 women and girls from the wider community. Through speeches, seminars, cultural performances, and hands-on outreach, the day championed gender equality, women's empowerment, and health awareness.
Salesian College to Host International Conference on Darjeeling Tea: Leaf, Life, and Legacy
Salesian College (Autonomous), Sonada, in collaboration with Rimpocha and Tea Promoters India Ltd., will host a Two-Day International Conference on “Darjeeling Tea: Leaf, Life, and Legacy — A multidisciplinary exploration of place, people and possibility.” The event will take place on 27–28 March 2026, bringing together scholars, industry leaders, and community voices to celebrate and reimagine the legacy of Darjeeling Tea.
Nari Kavach Programme Celebrates Women’s Strength in Kollam
Marking International Women’s Day, the Theeradesa Mahila Society (TMS), in collaboration with the Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP) under the Salesian Province of Bangalore, organised a special programme titled “Nari Kavach” in Kollam, Kerala. The celebration, centred on the theme “Give to Gain,” highlighted women’s empowerment, resilience, and community solidarity.
