Salesian student of theology from Chennai bags the first prize in theological essay competition

Vidyajyoti College of Theology, Delhi, India honours Brother William David (2nd-year Theology) from Don Bosco Theological Centre (DBTC), Kavarapettai, Chennai. His theological essay was shortlisted as the best among the essays that arrived from other theologates in India and across the globe.

Brother William, took part in an essay competition that was conducted by Vidyajyoti College of Theology, as it celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its transfer from the Himalayan foothills to the historic city of Delhi. The essay was written in 4000 words, reimagining the contours of Nation, Church, Formation, Theology and Synodality. “Return to Galilee: Feeding the Roots to Fetch the Fruits” was the title of his award-winning Essay. "Winning the first prize at the national and international level is a glorious moment for the staff and students of theology of DBTC," said the Rector Father Bellarmine Fernando, SDB.
