The ceremony began with the prayer song rendered beautifully by the trainees. It was then followed by the welcome speech by Mr. Saji Chacko (State Co-Ordinator , DB Tech), who introduced and welcomed the dignitaries. Fr. Kuriakose Pallikkunnel (Director, Don Bosco Snehabhavan) presided over the function. The course was formally inaugurated by Mr. Prakash Nair, the General Manager learning & Development, Taj Group of Hotels. The event was graced by Ms. Shincymol Antony, Asst Coordinator, Kudumbasree (SHG) Mission Ernakulam, Mr.Paulson Xavier (Human resource Manager, Taj Group of Hotels Kerala)), Mr. Vincent Ramos (General Manager Taj Malabar Kochi), Mr. Royston General Manager Taj Gateway Ernakulam, Ms. Sindhu Riju (Human Resource Manager Taj Garden Retreat Kumarakom), Mr. P.X. Paul (Coordinator of Salesian Co-operators) and Mr. A.S. Shenoy (Rotary Club Cochin & President ,Indian Council for Social Welfare). The BASE Project at Don Bosco, Palluruthy was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by each of the dignitaries followed by the Inaugural address enlightening the students about the salient features of the project and the opportunities in the Hotel Industry. Each of the dignitaries briefed the students about the significance of the project. The Taj Group of Hotels, our learning partner has offered their whole hearted support in training the students; they also agreed that they will be sending their executives to take guest classes for our students every day. The function concluded with the Vote of thanks by Mr. Joseph John, Hospitality Trainer, DB Tech, Palluruthy.
