The Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla, hosted Teknack 2026 under the theme “Aparecium,” bringing together students, alumni, and industry professionals in a collaborative celebration of technology and creativity.

Fr Nelson Carvalho inaugurated the event in the presence of Rector and Director Fr Anthony Pinto, Assistant Director Fr Charles Anthony, Administrator Fr Mylin Noronha, and Principal Dr Sudhakar Mande. The dignitaries emphasised the importance of innovation, leadership, and perseverance in preparing students for rapidly evolving technological landscapes.

A highlight of the programme was the participation of alumnus Reuben Mathew Philip, Director of Product at Clarium in the USA, and a former Computer Engineering student of the institute. Sharing insights from his professional journey, he encouraged students to integrate academic learning with real-world applications and industry demands.

Teknack 2026 featured 29 student-developed games that demonstrated strong technical competence, creativity, and teamwork. Projects such as Zombie Shooter, Quantum Battleship, and Mind Maze drew attention for their design, functionality, and user engagement. The range of concepts demonstrated the students’ ability to translate theoretical knowledge into innovative digital solutions.

The competition was evaluated by members of the Don Bosco alumni network, reinforcing ties between past and present students. Alumni also played a key role in organising and supporting the event, contributing to its smooth execution.

In addition to project showcases, the event featured gaming tournaments, including FIFA, PES, and Clash Royale, as well as interactive sessions that encouraged participation and collaboration among attendees.

The programme concluded with awards for categories including Best Game UI, Best Gameplay, Best Game Concept, and People’s Choice. Teknack 2026 highlighted the value of experiential learning, innovation, and alumni engagement in contemporary technical education.
